80's Hits SACD

Recommended Posts

Does anyone on the CA forum have this Sony SACD called 80's Hits?

It contains the following:

1. Never Gonna Give You Up - Rick Astley
2. I Wanna Dance With Somebody - Whitney Houston
3. Caribbean Queen (No More Love on the Run) - Billy Ocean
4. Girls Just Want To Have Fun - Cyndi Lauper
5. Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This) - Eurythmics
6. Wake Me Up Before You Go Go - Wham!
7. Jump (For My Love) - The Pointer Sisters
8. Eye Of The Tiger - Survivor
9. Africa - Toto
10. 99 Red Balloons - Nena
11. Manic Monday - The Bangles
12. Wishing Well - Terence Trant Dar'by
13. Hold Me Now - Thompson Twins
14. Fantastic Day - Haircut 100
15. Down Under - Men At Work
16. Lovely Day (7" Sunshine Mix) - Bill Withers

It was made in the European Union. I just wondered if it's a good sounding SACD for an 80's music compilation?

I didn't realise the CIA torture playlist came on SACD.

I'm sure it was mastered for SACD at the CIA's behest.  Word is, Bob Stuart is now overseeing a special MQA version for them, similar to the special treatment JA received for his files.  I think the legal theory is that temporal blurring is beyond the pale, while waterboarding is still permissible under certain circumstances.

Oh, this CIA torture playlist is nothing.

Wanna know what's worse than this playlist? My singing!  :( My singing is so bad, I couldn't carry a note in a pail.

So, the CIA recently hired me to (gasp!) sing at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Once I start singing, terrorists will start talking pronto!!!!

:D

Hee Hee!

I am over at a friend's place listening to this album as I type the response :) It's a DSD64 which is 5,645kbps -- each song about 1.05Gb -- upsampled in real time to DSD1024 through my ifi Pro iDSD and ifi Pro iCAN -- yes, I take this rig with me! --over Audeze LCD-X headphones and it sounds awesome! Unfortunately the album is not mine, so I'm not exactly sure where to source it.

In the pic, my traditional rig with Denon AH-D7200 headphones.
