awesome!

New Aries wish list:

SSD HD for internal storage

isolated usb3.0/3.1 output

faster processor

DSD 512 output (don't know why just sounds cool like my chord dave)

MQA (might as well just do this for bells and whistles)

beefier linear power supply

more refined exterior case

@ what price point?

After the initial flurry of activity Beta releases seem to have slowed down somewhat. It feels like we've been on r6 for a while now!

I just tried beta7 and found that the majority of radio stations I have saved, mostly old time radio from the Radio Drama list, won't play. As in beta6 an error message is displayed. All of them play with firmware 3.3. I reverted back until a better beta comes out.

So what is the verdict on the memory play feature? Has anyone encountered any issues with it, e.g., dropouts, long load times, etc?

In my case much better SQ, no dropouts (but this was never an issue), and load times are not noticeably different. Very happy with the new 'feature'.

Does it automaticaly use the memory play feature or do you have to choose an option to use it?
Memory play is permanently enabled, there's no option to disable memory playback. Though, not sure why you'd want to other than for AxB tests.

Hello

I updated to Beta 7 and now the Aries Mini no longer recognises my external DAC. I've rebooted the Mini and DAC several times, disconnected and then reconnected all cables and all I'm getting is the Aries Outputs option. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get this corrected please?
