Good looking speaker cable?

Recommended Posts

I am interested in buying some speaker cables that look good.

For me that means thick, round cable, diameter of a quarter maybe, black or dark gray. No patterns, lizard or snake skin, etc, not cheap shiny looking either.

Don't want to pay a fortune, better SQ is secondary to looks good.

Suggestions?

What is your price point? That would help.

I have heard thr TOTL Transparent compared to Zu Cables and Zu's were WAY better. And cheaper to boot.

Current:  Daphile on an AMD A10-9500 with 16 GB RAM

DAC - TEAC UD-501 DAC

Pre-amp - Rotel RC-1590

Amplification - Benchmark AHB2 amplifier

Speakers - Revel M126Be with 2 REL 7/ti subwoofers

Cables - Tara Labs RSC Reference and Blue Jean Cable Balanced Interconnects

Can you recommend a good sounding brand?

Cable or hose?

IMO cables need to be auditioned 'in situ'. I've bought a very highly reviewed set that after 3 weeks had turned me off music almost entirely.

Ensuring that the cable was noticeable was never on my list so can't help there—I use plain black in the garden.

Decision made! Groneberg TS Premium speaker cable. Just under my budget, distinctive, with a kind of retro steam punk vibe. The bluish gray also goes with the blue of my new Sophia Electric coke bottle KT88s.
