Yes, you read that right. New Magnis and Modi that raise the bar—and cost less in absolute dollars!

 

Factor in inflation, and you have only one conclusion: we’re completely and utterly insane. (Well, either that, or we’re very efficient. Or stupid. No, wait, there’s lots of conclusions, most of which aren’t flattering.)

 

 

Here’s the deal:

 

• Magni+ and Heretic add three gain levels and advanced protection for prized headphones to an all-new seamless chassis design. For $10 more than the original 1-gain-level, no-preamp-output Magni, 10 years ago.
•  
• adds even higher performance, more advanced power management, an a refined ESS implementation in that same seamlessly cool chassis, with Unison USB and optical and coaxial inputs. For $30 more than the original 1-input, no-power-management, much-lower-performance Modi, 10 years ago.

 

As with all of our products, Magni+, Magni Heretic, and Modi+ are made in the USA, with Texas steel, California stamping, and PCBs from Nevada and Utah.

 

And yes, we are completely mad. That’s OK. The world needs some of us.

In the last few years, Schiit has made multiple products at various price levels that both measure well and are reviewed as sounding good.

Value for money is high. Sure, the casework is only okay, not high end, but you can put together a really good sounding system for very reasonable prices.

Shows that 3 figure components are truly audiophile.

It is very interesting to me that they can put out DACs at so many price points! Who knew?
