If a user sends me an offer in a PM rather that uses the Offer button, then I don't seem to be able to update the Classified other than Complete or No Longer For Sale. It would be good in this scenario so mark it as Pending or Under Offer in the same way I can when the offer comes via the Classified.

I trued to make the classifieds as simple as possible. Adding complexity for edge cases is something I won't do right now.

In the days of the traditional buy & sell forum, you could add a message at the bottom of the thread saying Sale Pending or whatever. You can still do that now or just ask the person who PM'd you to use the proper Offer button in the classified.

When a Classified is updated as Sold or I guess even No Longer For Sale, then it would be good for the forum listing in this Buy & Sell section to be updated accordingly.

I will see if I can make this happen.

Ideally, one would browse the classifieds and only use the forum area for questions and answers about products s/he is interested. This would remove the need, but I still would like to make this happen.

Does “completed” in the classifieds mean that the item has been sold?  I assume so, but “sold” seems to me to be a more straightforward way of expressing that than is “completed.”

Completed can mean sold, item not for sale anymore, or nobody purchased it in a certain period of time. Completed items will list the reason on the top of each listing.

@The Computer Audiophile, could you advise what is the proper steps to place a label here showing item has been sold?

Some of the items I see show "Sold" at the subject line, but I failed to find this feature in my recent post that were post by the Classifieds after changing status to "Completed".

There isn't a simple way to do this for now. I added this to your listing for now.

Hi Guys, I enabled comments below each item for sale in the Classifieds section. Please use these comment sections to post questions or whatever you wish, about a specific item for sale. I will disable comments in the Buy Sell forum and eventually hide this area. The new Classifieds section offers all the functionality of this sub forum, I believe, and more, so it doesn't make sense to have two areas. In addition, we don't have to deal with marking threads SOLD after the classified has been sold etc...
