Good evening everyone, and thanks to Nenon for this wonderful Thread. I can't wait to compose the whole project, in the meantime I am recovering the xeon 4114 CPUs and the asus MB. For RAM the Apacer D51.23244S.001 are good? I would like to take 8 from 4G, for a total of 32Gb are enough, can you tell me where to find them? Thanks. I look forward to the case with dissipation and the switching power supply from Taiko, as well as the components to compose the unregulated power supply for DC-DC switching.

Do you think that the heatpipes might be more efficient if they were mounted to the chassis heatsink slightly above the CPU?

Hi Friends. For the current temperatures they are around 55 degrees, at rest, but the current ambient temperature is around 33-34 degrees as it is very hot.  Surely the solution with the heatpipes placed downhill from the lateral heat sink to the cpu would be optimal to better study the right layout for the best dissipation.  I'm waiting for more heatpipes to arrive for the second cpu.  For the ram you have to look in the first 100 posts, find the reference for the apacer's agent.  I bought them early last year.

Ho finalmente finito di costruire il mio server "Faiko" fai-da-te sulla base di tutti i consigli e le risorse eccezionali in questo thread. Sfortunatamente, mi sembra di avere problemi con le CPU, la scheda madre o il taiko DC-ATX. Non riesco a far funzionare entrambe le CPU contemporaneamente. Ho controllato le impostazioni del BIOS, ma finora non ho avuto fortuna. Ora sto combinando la documentazione MB e il passaggio successivo sembra essere l'aggiornamento del firmware (se disponibile). In ogni caso,  ho ritenuto opportuno vedere se qualcuno ha avuto problemi simili. I componenti rilevanti sono: 

 

1 scheda madre Asus 621E 

2 x Intel 4109T

1 x Taiko DC-ATX

12 RAM APACER 4G (78.B1GN0.4000B)

HI. Check the perfect tightening of the bolts of the heatsinks that connect with the CPUs. It takes very little for all the contacts of the CPU not to touch correctly with the motherboard socket, and therefore not seen correctly.

Good morning. Have any of you tried to update the firmware of the ASM 3142 USB controller of the Asus Sage C621 motherboard?

The motherboard features the ASMedia 3142 3.1 USB controller, which is the same as the one installed on the JCAT XE. Since a new firmware has recently been released for the JCAT XE, the question arises whether it’s possible to install the firmware on our Asus Sage, which surely has outdated firmware, dating back to when the motherboard was first introduced.

The USB that Taiko Audio initially used before the release of their USB card, in my opinion, is excellent.
While waiting for Emile to decide to market their USB card for DIY enthusiasts like us.

HI MarcelNL, on the Asus c621 it is not necessary to disable any fans in the bios settings. You can easily work in fanless mode without doing anything.

Good morning.  I also had problems showing the RAM, as SK8 says. You have to act on the screws by tightening them in the right way, because the CPU is certainly not aligned perfectly in the socket. Otherwise it happens that some modules are not seen correctly, and you may encounter the problems you mentioned.
