Audio_ELF Posted May 29, 2015 Share Posted May 29, 2015 Are you able to say Chris ... were dCS using Roon in a traditional manner of a USB connection to the DAC, or was the dCS DAC itself acting as a Roon "end point" (is that the term Roon use?) via Roon Speaker protocol? Eloise --- ...in my opinion / experience... While I agree "Everything may matter" working out what actually affects the sound is a trickier thing. And I agree "Trust your ears" but equally don't allow them to fool you - trust them with a bit of skepticism. keep your mind open... But mind your brain doesn't fall out. Link to comment

Great question. They are going out of a Mac laptop via USB to a Vivaldi system. As far as I know, no manufacturers are very close to having an end point (Roon Speakers) ready. harmonica2 Posted May 31, 2015 Share Posted May 31, 2015 I spent today at T.H.E. Show - this is my second year. I agree that the Vienna Acoustics/Moon by Simaudio room was great. Once again, I found myself drawn to the Harbeth speakers set up by Venice audio. Anyone else check that out? Bluesound Node 2-->LFD LE Mk V-->HSU VTF-1 Subwoofer (via high-level inputs)-->Harbeth P3ESR Link to comment
