davidovada
I clicked on a track and found it uninteresting. Next thing I know it's being commented on by my friends on Facebook! I find this totally unacceptable and am appalled that Qobuz is using this information. Probably my fault for accepting this. I don't recall ever granting this permission. As many of you know, I was among the first to give light to Qobuz on this forum. I am so pissed off that I may cancel my subscription and never darken their virtual doorstep again. firedog
Guessing that you signed up there using your FB account. When you do that at a site you give them permission to post on your Facebook account. For that reason I never use my Facebook login that way. Allan F
Guessing that you signed up there using your FB account. When you do that at a site you give them permission to post on your Facebook account. For that reason I never use my Facebook login that way. Because of the many privacy issues or, more accurately, the lack of privacy, I won't use Facebook at all. I don't feel the least bit like I'm missing anything. If that makes me a Luddite, I'm happy being one. "Relax, it's only hi-fi. Savage
Was it a Bieber track? Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Differentiation by numbers is for those who do not." — Nelson Pass Link to comment
Blake
Was it a Bieber track? ..or perhaps "Bangerz" by Miley Cyrus? Actually I did listen to Bangerz on MOG a few weeks ago. Yep, I just admitted it! davidovada
Qobuz responded to my rant in just a few hours. They were polite, helpful and genuinely apologetic. The response was from a real person who signed their name. I'm very pleased. Kudos to their team and no it wasn't Bieber, Miley, Jacintha, or Jazz at the Pornshop. iMac - iTunes(AIFF) - Squeeze 7.9- QOBUZ flac streamer - Vodafone Revolution Router - Transporter - Pathos Classic One MkIII - JM/Focal Daline 3 - dhLabs & Xindak xlr cables - Mapleshade header and footers - AppleTV3 Link to comment

CatManDo
I don't have a Facebook account, but if I had one, I would not use the Facebook sign-in function for other websites, even if it seems convenient. Better keep accounts seperated. And be careful about what you "like". Claude Link to comment

CatManDo
It's a helpful answer, although the tone tends to be a bit too condescending ("lorsque l'on ne maîtrise pas les réglages." = "if one does not master the settings"). Nerds ... Claude Link to comment

Nerds ... You might argue that this function should have been deactivated as default and only activated on demand. But anyhow, I agree with what's been said above, don't use Facebook to log into anything, given their patchy record for privacy concerns. It looks like FB is slowly becoming aware of these concerns triggering the following reaction: New Anonymous Facebook Login Hides Info, But Not From Facebook : All Tech Considered : NPR Check out my blog at musicophilesblog.com - From Keith Jarrett to Johannes Brahms Link to comment
