Lumin app running on Macbook air doesn't have the issue.

Just tried on iPad 5th gen iPadOS 14.6, Lumïn app 7.0.4 and Minimserver 2.0.18/193 : rescan successful and no crash on iPad.

Does the crash happen

- as soon as you launch the rescan

or does it happen

- if you launch the rescan, close the app and try to open again the app before the rescan ended?

Yes, as the app needs to update its internal db, anyway you can find immediately  the album going through the “folder” (in Minimserver ‘lexicon’, ie metadata) structure.

This is a Lumïn app task due to refresh the internal app database (the time of completion can depend on the smartphone/tablet cpu) … if you are in a “hurry” you could instead use Linn app or Linn Kazoo app, they cannot issue the Minimserver rescan but they don’t have an internal database therefore they are instantaneous

@One and a half … just added few albums to my library … the Minimserver rescan did last 30/40 seconds as I told before and the Lumïn app update library more or less 8 minutes … actually not an overnight task …

… btw … be sure not to issue the Reload Library as it can be very long, the right command is Update Music Library that in normal condition should start automatically when new albums are detected by the app … and wait until the spinning wheel on the right of the Minimserver name in the app will disappear

It is definitely there … in Library (or My Library) in the iOS app (Pro version but free of charge)

In order to be able to view new albums in the Lumïn Last Modified view you need to wait until the Lumïn app internal db is updated but if you search them browsing MinimServer folders/indexes you can find them immediately, as soon as you open Lumïn app

@Mat open Lumin app on your tablet/smartphone, tap on Settings and you'll find the Music Library section, then select your Minimserver instance

the update library task takes more or less 8 minutes and my library is quite big, 12k albums, this result seems quite in line with the performance of your android device.

Is your library much larger?

@Ropet If you have MinimimServer2 full license with Minimstreamer you can define playlists for internet radio and play them using Minimserver.

@wklie hello Peter,

a friend of mine has a issue on his T2 about Spotify. 
He has just subscribed to Spotify Premium. 

According to the online user guide it should be possible to use Lumin app (iPad/iPhone) to access Spotify 

 

but he cannot find Spotify Settings

 

his T2 is running the last available firmware

 

is he missing something?
