My guess is that while Morten has been busy making music, he didn't realize we could play these files :~) 

 

Hopefully more people will encourage 2L to release TrueHD.

This is interesting. Playing them in the Reference Player gives me the right number of channels. iTunes hasn't yet. Still working on it.

Yeah! This is seriously like the early days of high resolution. We’d have a few albums available from one or two sites, the rest were mp3. 
 

I talked to one label over the weekend that was very interested in offering TrueHD and didn’t think consumers could play it without Blu-ray. I was pleased to describe the methods available for us.

I must say, getting into immersive audio has simultaneously got me really interested in classical music. The genre is fantastic for immersive audio. It's kind of funny, the world's oldest music is great for the newest formats.

There are zero players for Mac and Windows capable of decoding Atmos, other than the Dolby Reference Player.

OK, I have this album in Auro-3D 5.1+4. Now I'm going to figure out what's needed to decode it on q computer. sending it to an external processor should work as well.

It would be fantastic if we could get a consumer decoder.
