I spend more than 20 hours per week doing nothing but returning client e-mails, and I have never once accepted payment for product without promising and meeting a firm delivery date--typically either immediate of within 2-weeks shipment. Guess that is why there are now about 800 JS-2s in the field and close to 3,000 UltraCap units. My apologies if such discussion of business and reputation is off-topic. Perhaps the TLS power supply is a fine unit, but nobody knows what is actually in the box. (And there was this funky incident: https://audiophilestyle.com/forums/topic/38316-the-linear-solution-lps912-design-for-sotm-products/?do=findComment&comment=772398 The reason people patronize the two businesses you mention is their products sound significantly better than what is available from Uptone. Multiple people have said the TLS power supply sounds significantly better than a JS-2 or LPS-1.2, so why does it matter what is inside the box as long as it works? You gave the Farad3 design a good thrashing in these forums awhile back. Since its sound quality is in a completely different league than the LPS-1.2, I don't really care if you believe their approach is somehow flawed or less than optimal. Most people are perfectly happy with your fine power supplies and have no need to look any further, and of course, your service is the best. Nevertheless, there will always be some who want or need more. I would also note that Paul Hynes was not experiencing such lengthy delays when I placed my order, and as you well know, I no recourse other than to "sell" my place in the queue. TLS has a 4-6 month wait for a completely custom solution. This is on par with other reputable builders such as Dr. Sean Jacobs. I find the wait time to be quite reasonable given the nature of the product. johndoe21ro and Dev 2 Link to comment

Ask the fellow who paid $8K for a TLS One server and received it 8 months later with things rattling around inside. Last I remember he was happy with the sound. If I remember correctly, the quality problems were being addressed to his satisfaction, at least at that point in time. I am not condoning this type of service. In fact, I was publicly very critical of it. Regardless, as others have already stated, the TLS Reference 1 power supply has very good sound quality. The relevant information is out in the open, and people are free to make their own choices as they see fit. Link to comment

Trying to decide on a new power supply for my microRendu 1.4 currently being powered by an LPS-1 with an Lt3045 board afterward. Narrowed it down to the new Sonore UltraSupply (alas no feedback yet), the Ultracap 1.2, or a JS-2 (esp if I can find a deal like the used one on offer yesterday!) Or I have my eye on a used Sonore Signature Series Power Supply with an UltraRendu bundle, which would place that PS at about the same price as the Ultra or LPS 1.2 though I'd also have to buy the UltraRendu (albeit at a good price) and sell off the mR 1.4 for a loss. Can anyone compare the Signature PS with the LPS-1, LPS-1.2 or new Ultra? Or others? Anything else I should consider in the $3-600 range? The Farad3 with a Pink Faun level 2 DC cable is an excellent choice at the upper end of your price range. Link to comment
