esldude
Pretty simple poll. Do you have a multimeter? You can comment on whether you know what to do with it. But mainly I'd like to know what percentage of Audiophyle Style members have a multimeter. Thanks for your participation. Did I need to specify the meter functions. Surely everyone can understand the context enough to determine that having a multimeter is having a functioning multimeter. Everyone is so special these days. Ralf11 and crenca 1 1 And always keep in mind: Cognitive biases, like seeing optical illusions are a sign of a normally functioning brain. I doubt most members here have a tape measure. And how likely is it calibrated for measuring the effects of data compression on height? Even if members might be able to use one. I would have guessed about 80%. So 95% isn't that surprising. Maybe a little self selection going on here. But obviously multimeter ownership is not rare. I've several. A couple Fluke's, a VTVM from Heathkit, a couple cheap ones and one of these. And one of the RS meters with RS232 connections. So you could use a PC to monitor output readings. It seems to have been a fad that passed, but a decade or so back all the very cheapest worst meters had that little mirror band to imply quality was higher than it was.
