Audiophilia Disorder was formerly considered merely a form of Obsessive–compulsive personality disorder with a strong focus on “perfectionism,” but work by Dr. Kraft-Ebiis-Ebfield on Cluster B pts. (Histrionic/Narcissistic spectrum) led to separation of Audiophilia into a separate Disorder, tho with strong Comorbidity

Aka audiophile nervosa in other circles, may also afflict those with a genetic predisposition to a certain subtext of personality tendencies including but not limited to egotism, self righteousness and delusions of intellectual superiority over their peers. They are generally referred to as "objectivists" and may become highly inflammed if their belief in scientific principles are in any way infringed upon.
