biosailor
Just received my new ATC SCM11 speakers. They need to burn in, still, but what I hear is already very good! Extremely revealing and pleasant sound signature. The only caveat: when I picked the speakers up at the dealer's place, he showed me the ATC SCM40 speakers. God, what a wonderful speaker pair. I'm sure at one point I'll get them. Very good business strategy making your customers longing for an upgrade the moment you bought something . The equipment in the rack is as follows: DAC: Aqua La Voce S2 Pre-amp: Headamp GSX Mk2, with XLRs out into the power amp. The bottom module is the power supply, the top module the headphone amp/pre-amp Streamer: Aurender N100H The power amp is located on the desk, as my speaker cables are too short for leaving the amp in the rack. It's a Lab.Gruppen IPD 1200 class D amp, 2x300 W/8 ohms. I am just as much surprised about this little pizza box, very powerful, very gentle and smooth sound stage, loaded with lots of DSP possibilities. The nice thing: it can be operated via my iPad, so I have both, the power amp and the streamer available via iPAD. Link to comment
Popular Post biosailor
Just bought a tiny Little Pro-Ject Pre Box S2 Digital for serious headphone listening. A little add-on to my Devialet system that has no headphone out. Very nice listening when working at my computer. It‘s amazing what they pack into these tiny boxes! Popular Post biosailor
A few years ago, after using headphones exclusively, I started my two-channel journey with a complicated setup of an Aurender N100 streamer, a pre-amp, power amp and, at that time a pair of ATC SCM 11s. The setup sounded quite good, but it was unwieldy. Two years ago, I decided to simplify my system, so I bought the super-integrated Devialet Expert 120. The Aurender N100 went, as I was never quite satisfied with it and I replaced it with a budget Allo USBridge Signature, fed by a Shanti linear power supply. Also, my SCM 11s went and I got an offer for a used ATC SCM 19 v1 that are mounted on bespoke stands. The Allo USBridge Sig runs RopieeeXL in conjunction with Audirvana running on a Mac mini 2018. That's an extremely smooth sounding system and I am super happy with it. I also have a SonicTransport i5 running Roon to feed via Ethernet into my Devialet. But I hardly use the SonicTransport anymore as I prefer Audirvana 3.5 in terms of sound quality. The saxophone in the picture is a retirement project and it is a lot of fun tp practice on a daily basis. Middy, Nikhil, Solstice380 and 4 others 1 6 Link to comment

Signed by the designer Bill Woodman with a lifetime guarantee. I only listen to digital sources. Currently using a Lindemann DSD 20 DAC which is directly connected to the P6. Stay safe everyone. The ultimate ATC system, WOW!!! mevdinc 1 Link to comment
