Popular Post sphinxsix
A guitar motif came to my mind this morning. Took some time to remind myself its musical context.. I just love his warm up at the beginning of this great concert Saw him years ago live in London. At some point someone threw a football onto the stage, BS started to juggle it (and he was good at that!) while still singing. The crowd went crazy.! sphinxsix
Some amazing, danceable Shostakovich avec l’Orchestre National de France. There is something I don't quite understand about the acoustics of performances like this one. When you listen to single voices (e.g.the first minute of this video) the room acoustics usually just ruin the pleasure of listening, OTOH when you listen to the mix of the whole - there's not much problem with it. Is the diversity of (usually non-audiophile I guess ) rooms acoustics reason for that.? Or maybe additional reverb added at the mix stage.? Someone's got some other idea.? At least COVID times provoke some new questions as far as room acoustics are regarded.. clipper 1 Link to comment
