tmhaudio
The N100H is my first step into the world of streaming but discovering how superior it is vs using a laptop has been quite the revelation! In fact, ripped CDs sound better than via my high-end transport using a CDPro2 laser. My question: Where to find instructions to use the N100H "manually", i.e. away from a network, using only the front panel buttons to access & play files on the HDD? This would be VERY useful when traveling to locations without a network or very difficult to connect to the network. Thanks in advance! Link to comment

The interface/controls from the hard buttons on the front panel alone are limited to pulling up saved playlists, and play/pause/next/previous commands. However, you can use a USB WiFi adapter like this to create your own little Aurender LAN on the go. You'll find instructions here: https://aurender.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500007493101 Note: this won't give you internet access for streaming, software updates, or remote support, but it will be a great solution for you to play locally stored or USB attached library content. Hope this helps! Thanks for the reply, Ari - much appreciated. If I understand correctly, the Aurender MUST be connected to a WiFi network - either via hard wired or a USB adapter. Is this correct? btw, I've noticed upgrading the fuse improves the sound quality - transparency, detail, air/space, soundstage. Properly isolating chassis provides additional sonic benefits, too. Any quality fuse using a silver fuse wire. Xindak sells a 2A glass fuse using 4N silver fuse wire for $10 each that provides noticeable sound improvements as I noted previously. Also, vibration isolation (as with any audio component) can bring improvements, too. Ditto quality AC cords. Isolation? So many to choose from - everyone has their favorites. Again, you can use the hard buttons to start a playlist, or to resume playing a queue left over from your last listening session, but other than that you need the Conductor app to search, browse, and control playback. @AriMargolis - thank you for your insightful comments as they were very helpful in my understanding of the N100H. tmhaudio
Just moved to a new home in countryside gated community and beginning to set-up main system with N100H. Problem: Router/Modem is NOT in same room as system so direct ethernet connection not an option Purchased WiFi USB adapter: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08KHV7H1S/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Connected to N100H USB data port Powered on N100H to home screen Does not show in my "Settings/Connections" on Android or PC Placed WiFiUSB Adapter next to my router - still not showing in available networks Many networks show including my favorite "FreeVirus" QUESTION: Do I need to do something to "activate" to get USB adapter to connect to my network? UPDATE: Purchased, received & installed the first adapter on your list. Unfortunately it is not being recognized in my settings/networks available on my Android tablet. I assume it should appear automatically without additional settings/adjustments? As an aside, when the N100H is placed next to router and connected via ethernet, all's well. At this point, unless there's a setting I'm missing, my last option is a WiFi extender with ethernet port. All suggestions are most welcomed - thanks! JimRicketts/tmhaudio Link to comment

The "24-bit" text was greyed out, not as brightly lit as the Sampling Rate text and buried at the bottom. Ideally, it would be adjacent to the Sampling Rate - i.e. "192khz/24-bit" and clearly lit in brightness. Vincent1234 1 Link to comment

It has been an absolute pleasure working with you all via Aurender these past 6 years. I left on good terms with no drama or bad blood whatsoever. I look forward to continuing to be a part of the Aurender community. I’m taking a beat to figure out my next career move, and in the meantime, I’ll be rebooting my old CD/SACD ripping service, Golden Ear Digital (new website coming soon). I can take care of ripping large CD collections and extracting high res files from your SACDs/bluray/dvd audio discs (stereo and/or multichannel). When I’m ready to really re-launch that service I’ll make a separate thread here to keep the AS community up to date. Cheers! Surfing to this site this morning to catch up...and shocked at Ari's announcement. @amargolis provided outstanding tech assistance with my first transport, N100H. After a brief wandering, I returned like a prodigal son and added a N20 thanks to "Ari the Knight" who helped me to choose wisely - it is now THE source in our reference system. Ari is one of the few good guys in this industry filled with so many of questionable ethics. In a former life, I was an officer in a $400M corp reporting to the Chairman and can categorically state Aurender lost a valuable asset. I certainly wish Ari the absolute very best in his next endeavor...and certainly will need those SACD ripping services. JimRicketts/tmhaudio Len44, Jeff_N, lmf22 and 1 other 3 1 Link to comment
