While I agree "Everything may matter" working out what actually affects the sound is a trickier thing.

And I agree "Trust your ears" but equally don't allow them to fool you - trust them with a bit of skepticism.

keep your mind open... But mind your brain doesn't fall out.

I've been wanting something like this for a long time. I'm surprised that the web site doesn't allow us to buy the product . . . . .

Macmini (as server)-> AE Express/SB Touch-> Dacmagic plus -> Outlaw RR2150 -> PSB Image T6 (dedicated 2 channel audio system)

Although I suspect this isn't entirely serious there have been previous non-April fool ideas about the influence of smell on audio perception. See this interview by Stereophile's Art Dudley with May Belt, the wife of Pete Belt.

The Belts are possibly barking mad, or maybe they are onto something. What I love about being an audiophile is that you can never quite be sure one way or the other. In my humble opinion, the human perception system is just so complicated that if you think you understand it, you probably just don't know what you are doing.
