Audio_ELF
KEFTalkUK Eloise --- ...in my opinion / experience... While I agree "Everything may matter" working out what actually affects the sound is a trickier thing. And I agree "Trust your ears" but equally don't allow them to fool you - trust them with a bit of skepticism. keep your mind open... But mind your brain doesn't fall out. Link to comment

NOMBEDES
I did not know that it was April 1 in the UK!! In any dispute the intensity of feeling is inversely proportional to the value of the issues at stake ~ Sayre's Law Link to comment
Richard Dale
KEFTalkUK Although I suspect this isn't entirely serious there have been previous non-April fool ideas about the influence of smell on audio perception. See this interview by Stereophile's Art Dudley with May Belt, the wife of Pete Belt. Listening #112 | Stereophile.com The Belts are possibly barking mad, or maybe they are onto something. What I love about being an audiophile is that you can never quite be sure one way or the other. In my humble opinion, the human perception system is just so complicated that if you think you understand it, you probably just don't know what you are doing.
