Recommended Posts

My suggestions are;

1 - From Elvis In Memphis (Sony Legacy Edition)

2 - Beth Hart & Joe Bonamassa - Don't Explain

3 - Imelda May - Love Tattoo

Digital system:  NAS (216 play), CAT. 6 cable to Marantz NA6005 network music player. Optical connection to Cambridge Audio DacMagic. Graham Slee Novo headphone amp with Grado Sr80i headphones, and Cambridge Audio 540 amp. Monitor Audio Bronze B2 speakers.

Analogue: Rega RP1, Cambridge Audio Phono stage, amp and speakers as above.

Greg Brown, The Poet Game

Great artist and most everything well recorded. I heard Greg's tune "Brand New 64 Dodge" on a demo CD a speaker manufacture was using. I have picked up some vinyl and CD's for Greg Brown. This was a good addition to my folk collections and I highly recommend.

Jeffrey Lee Pierce - Wildweed (released on vinyl 1985)

First solo album from the leader of the Gun Club. The song "Hey Juana" contains one of my all time favourite lines:

"Now Nick the Cave/He spent all his pay/On a bottle of gin/And a shark without a fin"

Another excellent recommendation.
