kumakuma
Hi all, I was listening this morning to Howlin' Wolf's Memphis Sessions that I downloaded recently from HDTracks. Great music but one thing bothered me. One of my favorite tracks is "Drinking C V Wine" but I can't figure out what C V wine is. Tried Googling it but no luck. Does anyone know what C V Wine is? kumakuma
The only one I found was the one in MA that started in 2004 so the timing doesn't work. I'm thinking it's something like Thunderbird. ssh
Vino Comarcal, a cheap, country wine. Abreviated both as VC and CV. Just a guess though, beer is my thing. SSH Link to comment
kumakuma
Interesting idea. I wonder if wine with this on the label was common in the '50s. The album was recorded in 1952 at Sun Records. Paul R
It's a cognac. One favored by Napoleon. It's a dig similar to the idiot rappers today drinking $1000 bottles of Champagne. In 1952 it would have been mildly shocking. -Paul Anyone who considers protocol unimportant has never dealt with a cat DAC. Robert A. Heinlein Link to comment
kumakuma
Thanks, Paul. This makes a lot of sense. Sometimes it's like someone took a knife, baby Edgy and dull and cut a six inch valley Through the middle of my skull Link to comment
