Slowhand is one of several 24/96 albums advertised by HDTracks as being mid-1990s releases when they are suspiciously like DSD to PCM conversions of mid-2000s SACDs, often loudness war atrocities, with a little attenuation and accompanied by scans of mid-1990s CD packaging. How do I know? I have a friend who mistakenly thought he could avoid the loudness war in hi-res by buying earlier masterings. He asked me why I thought he wasn't enjoying the sound of them and why his CDs sounded better, so we proceeded with Audacity analysis.
