I’ve used AQ cables for years and have always had great success with them. 
 

This was one of my favorite systems with AQ cabling.

Although I have a full loom of WireWorld now I used Audioquest cables for a long time. I never was quite sure what the batteries were supposed to do but the cables worked well in my various systems.

My main two channel and immersive systems are cabled with Transparent. My headphone system is cabled with a mix of Shunyata for power and AudioQuest for signal.

Simple Minds is one of my favourites. Something grandiose and special about them. I even liked Street Fighting Years that many panned.

 

That said I wouldn’t get to hung up on cables - to each his/her own.
 

I would add that an investment in gear with pro XLR balanced implementations and then Canare Starquad would be my choice. Anyone using RCA connectors should first be made aware of why they were invented and why they are still used (cheap consumer grade unbalanced connections).
