debt_collector

Question

What cd/dvd/bd slot-load drive would you recommend for ripping my audio CD collection? I use Exact Audio Copy software

Custom built silent Media PC, Synology DS415+ NAS -> SoTM sms200Ultra/sps500  -> TAD DA1000 DAC/preamp and Bryston 4BSST2 power amp -> Harbeth SHL5 speakers and Velodyne DD10+ subwoofers. PowerQuest Carbon USB cable, Chord Company Chorus interconnects, Chord Company Signature speaker leads, Clearer Audio Silver-Line power leads

Stick with a CD/DVD drive if you have one, they are better optimized for CD ripping speed than a BD drive.

I have a ST-OB2 Slot-Load Blu-ray Reader/CD and dvd writer. It recently developed an intermittent fault with the loading mechamism so I might replacement. Ill loom but if you xould recommend a cd/dvd drive that would be great

I would probably choose a drive near the top of the link provided by Cornelius and Bob just to feel good about my purchase. But if you’re using EAC I don’t think it ultimately matters, because EAC compares the rip to a database of other peoples’ rips and corrects any errors.

Aurender N200 music server, Bryston BDA-3 DAC, PS Audio BHK Signature preamp, Bryston 4B3 power amp, and Diapason Adamantes III monitor speakers. Power cords from AudioQuest and Shunyata; interconnects from Silnote Audio.
