Where did the music go?

So frustrating to enjoy an album on iTunes only to have it no longer available, without notice. Funny thing is it’s difficult to find anything about that album on the internet now. I’m talking about Jazz for a Long Winter’s Night, Various Artists, 1957. I can’t even identify the label.

This is not uncommon. There can be rights issues, and albums can be removed from sale or streaming. I find several mentions of it if I search for the title in quotes on Google.

Despite the popularity of renting music, I maintain that there is no substitute for owning the music you enjoy.

Good luck finding a copy.

This album is a "digital-only label - "U-5" that "primarily licenses pre-existing music for compilation albums. Warner Music Group. That confuses things because I can't purchase it. So streaming music is a must. The album is still on Spotify but I am not going to subscribe to more than one streaming music service.

Can you not buy the individual tracks and bunch them into an album?

Yeah, now that I know the tracks that were arranged on this album. Or, I could create a playlist on my streaming service.
