HiFiInsider
I have been playing Amarra Mini on my 2010 Mac Mini with 3GB RAM for about 8 hours straight. I put my hand on the bottom of the Mini and noticed it's pretty hot. Should I be concern that Amarra playing music from RAM in Cache Mode may damage my RAM sticks? http://www.youtube.com/hifiguy528/videos Link to comment
johnwilk
That's interesting. I noticed the same this morning after running in cache mode, and also that there is unwonted noise from the Mini. HiFiInsider
Are we alone on this? Seems pretty quite here. http://www.youtube.com/hifiguy528/videos Link to comment
wgscott
You need a better way to assess the temperature. The case is a heat sink, so the fact that the case is hot is probably a good thing. Here is one you can get for free: http://www.bresink.com/osx/TemperatureMonitor.html It will tell you the temps of the various internal components. Link to comment
The Computer Audiophile
I wouldn't worry about this at all. As the above post says, the fact that the case is hot is a good thing. Founder of Audiophile Style | My Audio Systems Link to comment
