Interesting. AMD doesn't specify anything related to the memory. ddr6 has been for a while in the GPUs but making it headway to the CPU I thought was too earlier, especially when ddr5 was just released. AMD must have a great mcu with the 4700s.

Its over a month with the trial v4 and mine expired. what are folks doing with the trials ? do I need to file a ticket to extend the trial ?

so the v4 is now available for purchase ? I don't see anything on their website. I filed a ticket to extended the license for the beta v4 and they did but it only worked for couple of hrs. How are others managing the trail ?

Well, due to lack of license extension or the ability to purchase one I am back to optimized Windows on Femto SSD which I have been using before I switched from v3 a while back. It has been my reference so far and continued to be. I have been running the v4 off the Optane drive but the Windows/Femto still sounded better in my setup. My plan was to load the v4 on a Femto SSD when it was available for purchase/upgrade and do an apples to apples comparison with Windows but I am not sure at this point if I want to go for a subscription based model. I have no motivation to use Stylus as the latest Roon sounds just as good in my setup with the advantage of a world class UI and library management. The only reason I might switch to v4 is if it sounded better than the Windows setup on a Femto SSD. Will see…

That's a real bummer. I hope that's not true for new license, otherwise it would be a disaster.

yes, I am using JCAT XE and it seem to work fine with v4. What issues are you getting ?

I remember v3 allowed the capability to copy the installation on another drive. I can't see that option in v4. Does anybody know if it was removed or it was never there to begin with ?
