If you load in ram the full album/playlist (you can configure it to do it by default) I think it could be useless .... btw .... you can configure Euphony/Stulus to run in ram too, in this way you’ll minimize I/O

I’m trying Euphony since few days .... the sound is really good but ...

the library management is the worst I’ve ever found (compared to Audirvana and JRiver) and, the most important bug (anyone realized?), there is no gapless at all using HQPlayer .... this is unbelievable .... here end my trial ....

My library is fully tagged, I’m using Minimserver and I can manage 16 tags to browse my library.

The problem with Euphony is that there are too few tags available and they are not very useful for classical music, to say a couple of indispensable they are Works and Solists, not to mention Orchestra, Conductor, Instruments and others 

It a real pain browse 8TB of classical music using Euphony ...

I suspect an Euphony issue as I tried with a SoTM sMS 200/MPD&Dlna and it doesn’t work too ....

After a 1/2 hour of remote session with Euphony upnp is now working (on SoTM sMS200 and RoPieee XL).

I suppose that the changes will be available in the next release.

The update with which Euphony will work as expected with upnp endpoint is not yet publicly available, that’s why it doesn’t work for now

It seems the issue is all on HQPlayerd (Embedded) side as there are other issues with upnp gapless.

Unfortunately, Jussi doesn't see gapless with upnp as a major problem ....

@biosailor .... have you enabled upnp devices discovery in Euphony?

@biosailor a couple of months ago I tried Euphony and there were some issues to discovery upnp devices (rpi4/RoPieee XL and SoTM sMS200 Neo), opened a ticket to Zeljko and in 1/2 hour of remote support he could solve the issue.

You could do the same ...

Using MPD&Dlna service it will be discovered by Euphony as an upnp device/endpoint.

Depends on which generation is your Nuc, I tried Euphony one year ago on a Nuc8i3 and it worked flawlessly …

You could try HQPlayer Embedded in an UPNP based setup.

Mine is:

Minimserver as UPNP mediaserver

Bubbleupnpserver for renderer OpenHome compatibility 

Lumïn app as control point

HQPlayer Embedded as renderer

HQP NAA (RoPieeeXL) as end point

This setup works for local music and Qobuz streaming service (thanks to the recent HQP functionality)

Music archive is on a LaCie 8TB usb external hdd

MinimServer2 (Full license with MinimStreamer) and Bubbleupnpserver run on Intel Nuc8i3/16GB ram/Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS

Lumin app on iPhone/iPad 

HQPlayer Embedded runs (for now) on Intel Nuc10i3/16GB ram, it boots from usb stick.

HQP NAA runs on:

- raspberry pi4/4GB ram using RoPieeeXL 

- SOtM sMS200 Neo

- Bubbleupnp or MConnect on Android (no need of Bubbleupnpserver)

I tried Stylus one year ago and I found it not so different from Daphile.

Anyway the library management is for me a key feature and Minimserver is, in my opinion, the best available. Keep in mind that I have more than 11k albums and most of them are classical and my library is fully tagged, Stylus or Daphile or HQPlayer alone cannot compete with Minimserver solution.

@al2813 … if you have a nas (Qnap or Synology should be ok) you can run Minimserver and Bubbleupnpserver on it

Is Bubbleupnp the app? 
I’m on iOS and I use Bubbleupnpserver to give OpenHome compatibility to the renderer (HQPe), I was assuming that Bubbleupnp (it is available on iOS ) could discover it without Bubbleupnpserver, try to install and configure Bubbleupnpserver
