lmitche
This is a quick note to say thanks to Piero for the V4 kernel upgrade option. Running Audiolinux on Ryzen 7 series ZEN4 machines with the V4 kernel brings a immediate sound quality upgrade, with increased image density first noticed in the deep bass range but across the spectrum. If you have a ZEN4 machine this upgrade is highly recommended. Thanks again Piero for making this happen. Pareto Audio aka nuckleheadaudio Link to comment
Lukasluis
I have updated my V3 Kernel to the latest version by choosing Option 0 System Update and in the process, it also tried to update Hqplayer embedded which is the only audio software installed. The Update failed as it took very long time to download the latest Hqplayer embedded package. I tried the V3 Kernel upgrade again and choosing Option 1 and it succeded. However after the kernel update, Hqplyer embedded could no longer start. I tried updating it (Hqp embedded), uninstall and install but it is failing as the download seems stuck like the estimated download time is days like 5 days then eventually cancels by itself. anyone experienced this issue. I've been trying for few days now but to no avail. Link to comment
hifi25nl
Please go to console and type yay -Syu hqplayer-embedded -- confirm I need to see the output. I hope that system update was successful. If you have still problems you can do it in console with sudo pacman -Syu AudioLinux --> https://www.audio-linux.com developer of AudioLinux realtime OS Link to comment

hifi25nl
I don't know your AL version. Note that V3 versions before headless 5.6.1 or lxqt 7.6.1 cannot really be updated since OS base has changed. Only with re-installation you will have the real last V3 version. hifi25nl
Do you have a compatible CPU? In that case you should have selected upgrade to V4 not extra year. Tried numerous times in the past 24 hours but still failing due to timeouts. Is your server limiting the upload speed? I ask because downloads from other sites are lightning fast! This is very frustrating! Link to comment
