Dandou
Yes, the Allo is short with RAM. But it has many advantages over a RBi4. I'm considering, though, buying a RBi4 in order to use it with an IAS module for output to my DAC. Link to comment

It is not the WI that occupies ram but python that it needs.... GentooPlayer home Facebook Documentation Link to comment

I can not apply them yet, because I don't know how to use Ssh on a Mac. Actually, after removing the unwanted software, and disabling all the players except "Squeezelite R2", UpMpdCli", and "Room Bridge", I still get the not enough RAM message when I try to set the Ramsystem to Mode 4. I guess that with the Allo, I should stay at Ramsystem Mode 2. Link to comment

antonellocaroli
9 hours ago, DomieMic65 said: What should be the "Capture device/File name" ? The Sample Format is OK Yes, you must configure the devices as shown in the example clearly you have to change the sampleformat according to what your audio output supports, see it in system info... and also change the playback device to match your playback device (ex.hw:0, hw:1 etc). ---- and since you use custom headphone filters, the input files must have the same resolution as the filters, if the filters, for example, were produced at 96000hz the input files must have the same resolution... so at that point you have to resample the files in the player, for example in squeezelite or mpd. squeezelite (resample 96000) > Camilla dsp (filters) > playback I don't know if applying the resample in camilladsp instead of in the player gives the same result, we need to understand if camilladsp applies the resample before applying the filters... https://github.com/HEnquist/camilladsp#resampling --- DomieMic65 1 GentooPlayer home Facebook Documentation Link to comment
DomieMic65
thanks a lot ... I will experiment and report back For sure I must see that the sample rates are the same. I didn't before! In the "filename" field before I change it to "/dev/stdin" as I saw in your screenshots there was something else by default. Unfortunately I didn't note what. Is there any chance that the "filename" needs something else?
