Well, I've got an issue during my firmware update.

 

After dragging and dropping the firmware update file, the copy process is hanging with the Windows "spinning circle" showing.

 

It's been this way for about 15 minutes now with no sign of clearing itself up.

 

I'm concerned about stopping the process for fear of bricking the ER.

 

I've left messages for Alex but will appreciate any help anyone else has to offer.

So now I just receive a message saying the file I'm trying to copy is too large for the destination file system.

Thanks for asking dminches.

 

It was the correct file (EtherREGEN_firmware_11-20-19.uf2).

 

The copy error I mentioned above stopped the copy process.

 

I decided to try a different usb port on my pc, I powered off the ER and removed and replaced the usb cable in the ER.

 

Then, the copy process worked as described in the instructions.

 

The ER is now powered up and appears to be working fine.

 

If nothing else, I hope my posts help someone else who encounters a similar issue.

 

Now I can enjoy Thanksgiving in peace.

You mean, do I still have my two JS-2's, Alex? Yes, I do.

 

And as for my being the quintessentional audiophile, yes, I was thinking, if you had said that to get better sound out of the ER, I had to stand on the roof of our home, holding my ER during a hail storm, I would have been thinking, should I be holding it with my right or left hand?

 

You're enabling some awful addictions there.

 

And yes, I remember meeting you at RMAF. It was a pleasure and I hope we'll see each other again soon.
