Seems like the best option out of all earthing/grounding tricks. Digging a small hole 10' to fit this thing on the other hand seems like quite the task... And would having one be enough is the real question.. Maybe for a single room, yes?

You may have another earth electrode driven, provided it connects to the existing ground electrode for the house. Running a separate earth cable for another system while keeping the existing setup like for an audio system is strictly forbidden in many countries. Essentially it bypasses fuses and circuit breakers from clearing when there's a fault, creating fires, and shocks, so it's really, bad! Don't do it!!

It seems they are more than a bit behind the times in your country as far as electrical safety goes.

, not only is there no earth to the outlets, the colours are random, and don't look large enough, although the install looks recent within the last 3 years or less.. There's big fat F to the bozo who wired that and a bigger F for those that put the power on. That green and yellow cable must be really expensive to buy?!

If the house is rented, then the landlord needs to make the wiring safe at their expense. Oh dear, very unsafe. @Cornan, there's your floating AC supply.

Just to reinforce grounding of 0V connections to PE with a delivery of an Acopian Linear supply to replace and iPower unit 9V, 1.5A driving ifi Micro USB 3.0.  

 

The Acopian is physically 12 times larger than the iPower, and grounding is easy to connect via screw terminals via a short jumper. The iPower is your typical SMPS despite what ifi claim, it's full of noise, don't know what sort, but heaving it and replacing with the Acopian removed grunge. Immediately, there's micro details around instruments, there's placement of individual instruments now possible, still not on par with SACD player, but getting closer. Music is enjoyable again, the 'what can I play next' itching to find and explore.

 

It's great see a drawer full of discarded wall warts, just one more SMPS powered device on the audio power chain remaining. Another 6 weeks to wait for the final chapter.
