asdf1000
Hey all Does anyone know if QNAP's Music Station app supports 24-bit/192khz and plays at full resolution, or if it downsamples the music? And is it compatible with Apple Lossless 24/192? I have a Qnap TS-251+ running the latest software Thanks heaps in advance Link to comment
man
Not sure about your specific questions, but FWIW I used the Music Station and Q Music apps with my Qnap NAS and didn't find them to be worth the trouble. I've had much more success and stability using other solutions like JRiver, Foobar, JRemote, Gizmo, PlugPlayer, and BubbleUPNP. Link to comment

man
Agreed. Minimserver does its job perfectly on my Qnap NAS. I've also used BubbleUPNP Server which allows access to music on your NAS when not connected to your home network as long as you are using the BubbleUPNP as the player on your mobile device. Try Illustrate (the maker of DBPowerAmp) Agent. It has a few tricks up its sleeve that MinimServer does not have, like support for ReplayGain. Synology DS214+ with MinimServer --> Ethernet --> Sonore mRendu / SOtM SMS-200 --> Chord Hugo --> Chord interconnects --> Naim NAP 200--> Chord speaker cable --> Focal Aria 948 Link to comment
Cebolla
Close (well begins with an 'A'), but not quite. The UPnP media server produced by Illustrate, developer Spoon, is called Asset UPnP: https://www.dbpoweramp.com/asset-upnp-dlna.htm We are far more united and have far more in common with each other than things that divide us. -- Jo Cox Link to comment

By the way, I have been using both Asset UPnP (trial version only) and minimserver for my QNAP TS-469L, and so far I am very happy with both. Link to comment
