Not necessarily much, depending on different the analog stages are. But the D/A stage at least is somewhat different.

 

Also Spring 2 and Spring 3 behave somewhat different way, so those two may also sound somewhat different. Although I have not noticed any major differences in sound.

Spring 2 and Spring 3 sound totally different.

I know all the talk these days is about the May DAC or even the Cyan 2 DAC, but having switched this month from the Chord Hugo TT2 to the Holo Audio Spring 3 KTE I wanted to refresh this discussion thread with a solid up vote for the Spring 3.

 

It's a delightful DAC and I'm mostly using it in it's basic NOS mode.

 

So, for those wondering about the rather less mentioned Spring 3 it's still a super choice in the $3,000 price range.
