The 24/96 sample does sound quite good.

Does she really "announce" each tune throughout the album?

I own many, many digital high res albums in addition to 1K+ LPs.  

My ultimate reference for female vocals and purity of reproduction is "The Carpenters - Singles" album in DSD (only!).  Her voice and everything else are masterfully recorded and presented. I once thought the Carpenters quite "uncool" but they've grown on me and now consider it just beautiful music of a particular if not peculiar, kind.

Online samples sound quite promising.

May go for the DXD which is basically the master tape since that is the native recording format.

More to the point I meant to express my fondness for Carmen Gomes based on the consistency, quality and quality of her work relative to the other artists in the label's catalogue. It's all good...

BTW: Sound Liaison recently announced an upcoming Paul Berner Band release recorded in DXD format.
