Audiophile-grade bedroom space-heater?

It is freezing here. (Quite literally, despite being sunny CA).

 

I don't know how he does it for that money. If you have efficient enough speakers this would be a sweet little amp. Not sure I'd want it somewhere that I might fall asleep though! Makes me want to try one though. I love the options with it too. That cherry base and cream colored volume control would be a gorgeous little amp.

I wonder what would be a good DAC for this?

Heat output is inadequate. It needs more of those glass fet heater elements.

 

I used to use a Tektronix 547 for heat. It was a good 500-700 watts of mixed tube and solid state heat with a circulator fan and did a great job in the winter. Not good for the summer however.
