I have spent most of my years working on a multichannel AV setup. However, I'm now beginning to set up a mid-level vinyl, 2-channel system. The goal will be to upgrade components over time, but for now I'm trying to decide on a mid-level price-point amplifier. The current configuration is Technics SL-1600 turntable (Shibata stylus) Little Bear T10 tube phono preamp stage **Yamaha RXV1065 AV amp Q Audio 3050i speakers. I would like to swap out the Yamaha stage. My research has suggested two options, a Cayin Audio A-55T (if I'd like to stay full tube), or a Rega Elicit R. Does anyone have thoughts on these amps, or any other suggestion for what might be a good starting point in such a setup? Thanks

All, I am starting this thread for general discussion of LIO. There will be other threads specific to particular LIO modules that will follow, but this will be a fine place to post general questions about LIO. You can find a lot of information on our website: www.vinnierossi.com The PRODUCTS menu has a drop down to different LIO configurations (DAC, Phonostage, Preamp, Integrated Amp), a "Custom configure LIO" (make it exactly the way you want!), as well as a sub menu for the various LIO modules to learn about them in more detail. For example, LIO DHT PRE: DHT PRE - Vinnie Rossi Audio This is our Directly Heated Triode linestage module for LIO that was introduced last Spring. Many LIO customers upgraded to it and received 100% trade-in credit for their RVC + Tubestage, or AVC/Tubestage modules. If you want to learn about our Patent Pending ultracapacitor power supply that occupied half of the entire LIO, check out the LIO Technology page: LIO Technology for the Audiophile Most of the pages on our website have tabs, such as a tab for Features, Specifications, Options. You'll also see a FORUM link on our menu at the top. When you click it, it takes you to our forum on Audiocircle.com. It has over 80 separate threads, each with many posts, about all things LIO since 2014. So why the forum here on CA, you ask? While some of you are present on both forums, I know there are many who are not and I wanted to branch out a little. I've been a fan of CA for a while now and have visited here every now and then, and decided to start a sponsored forum for 2017. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for participating here! Vinnie

View Classified Misho Myronov Handmade Tube Preamplifier Stunning 100% hand-built cult tube preamp with almost $1000 in NOS tubes. It is essentially new and just burned-in. It is such an incredible giant killer of a Pre that I wouldn't mind just keeping it for a second system later but hate to see it just sitting around. Normal wait time to have one of these built is 6 months to a year. I waited 6 months to get it and have only had it for 3. Only selling to move way up the ladder but its as good as 10-15k Pres. It is based on one stage, C3m in triode mode, in a transformer loaded circuit. Very short path, attenuation is via a Khozmo attenuator, and even this is excluded from the sound path, used only for shunting. The amplification factor is +6 dB. The wooden chassis is a complex layered structure, with great vibration adsorbing properties with no magnetic or conducting properties that avoids stray currents/grounds.The preamp is really difficult to overload, it will hold well input signal up to 5V RMS, and can provide with up to 20V RMS output. Normal listening position the own noise/hum level is less than -100dB. This unit is the Demo Unit that we have used at AXPONA and Capital Audiofest. I have used this unit in other Demo applications so it has maybe 150 to 200 hours on it. It replaced a PS Audio BHK and paired with single ended amps was a clear step forward. Will come with a full five year warranty on the unit and six months on the tubes. Five single ended inputs, a tape loop, two single ended outputs, and a truly amazing headphone amp makes this a very special centerpiece to any system. Even better, this unit is equipped with variable gain and you can switch between 0dB and 25dB making it highly flexible for both headphone and speaker use. The same circuits are used for both making this by far the best headphone amp I have ever hear. This is a factory demo unit and will come with the full five year warranty on product, six months on the tubes. I will pay for shipping or local pickup in Greenwich, CT. No Paypal or CC fees. Sales tax only if purchased in CT. Read the review here:https://www.6moons.com/audioreviews/artaudio9/artaudio.html

Selling Coincident Statement Line Stage Tube Preamp for $3,900 + Shipping/ PP fees. It is in mint condition. Only 8 months old. Original owner. This is a really great preamp, so utterly transparent! I had it partnered with the Coincident MB300 Frankenstein MKII 300B mono block amps and the combo was magic - so transparent, dynamic and tonally rich Unfortunately, I need to downscale my system given a recent change in circumstance. Will be shipped in original box. Local pick up is an option.
