cmidyet
We clearly have different views regarding Bruce's answer to my question at RMAF and the definition of "aggressive." I think we have beaten this to death ...time to move on. HD Tracks will either "see the light" and fix their issues ...or not. Customers will always vote with their dollars. I hope that they restore confidence because of their virtual monopoly on downloadable hi-res PCM files of popular recorded music ...it won't always be that way in the years to come. If there was another source for the same product, I would've simply purchased elsewhere by now and these posts would not be on my radar. Link to comment
jacquesr
Qobuz is a french website. The music and editorial content is so interesting... would make it your while to learn French... The link below is to the page where they explain they VERIFY the source of their files and their quality. They wrote: "Files come from the the labels. There is no downsampling or upsampling. We GUARANTEE the original quality of the files. We refuse to use these processes even though it could allow us to increase our offering faster" Are you listening HDT??? If they can do this, why in heaven can't you? http://www.qobuz.com/qualite/Studio-Masters/telechargement-ecoute-albums?t=MTA8I0c%3D Mac Mini Late 2014 (16G/SSD) w Uptone JS-2 w OWC Thunderbay 4 Mini RAID (JS-2) / Roon Aqua LinQ w EtherCon cable (Ghent) w Uptone EtherRegen w Uptone JS-2 Aqua Formula xHD w Ocellia RCA Interconnect & Shunyata Delta NR Kora TB 200 Integrated Amplifier w Audio Art Power Cable Magico V2 w Ocellia speaker cables w Shunyata Dark Field Elevator & JL Audio E-Sub e110 X 2 All equipment, including subwoofer on Modulum platforms (modulumaudio.com) Link to comment

Priaptor
It is a bummer. Very nice site. Between that and some of the other sites, such as gubemusic.com, there is little reason for me to ever visit HDT. Fool me once ............. as the expression goes. Link to comment

It appeares Qobuz is just taking what is provided by the labels, and guaranteeing that they do not modify what is provided to them. Link to comment
Russell_L
I'm in the USA and have downloaded many hi-res albums from Qobuz. Aside from a few albums that the labels have deemed 'off limits' to the USA, I've had no problem whatsoever. Kind of a wacky Java downloader, though--I've found it's best to download the files as a zip file. Reasonably fast download speeds, too. Just a few days ago they were offering their Studio Masters (hi-res) albums at the same price as the CD-quality files--a good deal! blues man
How we tell HDTracks' customer service is bad, or basically no customer service - they just don't response. They just ignored my concerns and complaints put on CA or forwarded to them hoping we would shut our mouth because of no response from the other side. You see David Chesky did not make response to our questions and suggestions. Link to comment
