HIFI
I may be in search of a new DAC after 8 years of Mytek Stereo192 experience. I can’t remember why, may have been price, but the Mytek one me over vs Benchmark. So…. Is the latest Benchmark still a “benchmark “ in it’s price range today? Thank you in advance for any new recommendations? My System : TWO SPEAKERS AND A CHAIR Link to comment

Thank you in advance for any new recommendations? Newest version of the BM is still considered a leading DAC. But there are so many good DACs on the market today - and some for less money. Schiit, iFi, RME, Chinese DACs like SMSL, Gustard, Topping, and Matrix, or Cambridge, Denafrips, and many more. Hard to tell you one DAC. I would look at some and compare features and prices to see what appeals to you. botrytis 1 Main listening (small home office): Main setup: Surge protectors +>Isol-8 Mini sub Axis Power Strip/Protection>QuietPC Low Noise Server>Roon (Audiolense DRC)>Stack Audio Link II>Kii Control>Kii Three BXT (on their own electric circuit) >GIK Room Treatments. 57gold
I'd be checking out this one if my Brooklyn+ died. Lived with a DSD192 and enjoyed for @7 years, the B+ was an incremental improvement. In fact, started the thread on CA on Mytek joining the consumer hi fi world with that product in 2010, now has 160 pages of posts. The company credits this site with its successful transition into hifi. Tone with Soul Link to comment
