The Computer Audiophile
Hi Guys, does anyone know how Roon communicates with HQPlayer when sending audio to it? I believe it uses MPRIS when controlling the app, but I’m not sure about sending audio. The reason I ask is that I wonder if other UPnP/DLNA servers could be adapted to send audio the same way to HQPlayer. I know that HQPe accepts audio via UPnP, but that isn’t without its issues. A more native way to send audio would be fantastic. Founder of Audiophile Style | My Audio Systems Link to comment
Miska
Roon uses HQPlayer control API, you can find reference implementation of the client side and hqp-control2 utility at the end of the page here: https://www.signalyst.com/custom.html This API is used also by other control applications, such as HQPlayer Client, HQPDcontrol and HQPWV. If you need more details, just contact me. Signalyst - Developer of HQPlayer Pulse & Fidelity - Software Defined Amplifiers Link to comment
