I would agree agree with @firedog that is at least possible. I have never used an Yggy, but I have used HQPlayer with a Devialet which is also limited to 24/192 and the results are definitely superior say to Roon, even compared with Roon upsampling to 24/192.

 

One other point, there is a free trial available for HQPlayer,, the trial version is fully functioning it just stops playing music after 30 minutes and you need to re start the software.

 

(and entering full pedant mode for a moment, it is 24/192, not 24/196. 196 would be bad)

I cannot comment on the Pi2AES, but I have been trying the iFi Zen Stream versus my REF10 clocked sMS-200Ultra + tX-USBultra feeding a Mutec MC3+USB. Not much in it to be honest, but overall it is the Zen Stream that I prefer, which is a very impressive result for the Zen Stream when you consider the price difference between these two particular options. The Zen Stream is also very easy to use and has been 100% stable for me, not one single issue over a couple of months in use. So as a reasonably priced and user friendly S/PDIF solution, well worth considering. Some interesting measurements thanks to @GoldenOne, see link.
