Maybe this is not the correct forum but do you please can comment on what the ER add between the CX and EX? That will be a very interesting information for me and maybe others members. I am using the S40/S60 + EX with a Sablon ethernet cable (2021) between them. Adding a SOTM ISO-CAT 6 change the presentation but not for better, in my case, the organic sound of this combo gone.

I am also burning (5 days now) an AfterDark clock (the less expansive one) and so far my impressions are very positive.  I always prefer the Antipodes combo (through USB) due to it organic sound compared to the DCS Bartok internal streamer (using Mosaic) which have much more impact, dynamic, bass control (that I like) but more aggressive at high frequency that I don't like. With the ER+AfterDark clock everything changed. Now the Bartok have have the same dynamic, better bass control but now, much more organic sound. I been listing to the Bartok alone for the last two days and it sound amazing.

Thank you very much for your time in sharing your experience. I really appreciate that and I will do some tests myself. I believe that AD also have a three clock outputs unit but I don't remember how it compare to the Mutec unit in price $.

Thank you for you suggestions. My EX is going for the upgrade next Monday, as soon as I get it back, I will try the ER between the S40/S60 and EX. At least, I have another good Ethernet switch (not as good but not too bad neither) that can replace the ER current use for a while.

Hello gentleman,

I received a 0.5m and two 1.5m Geistnote's Apogee Wyde Eye bnc cables. The intention of the half meter is to compare it with the Giesemann EVA BNC-BNC clock cable I been using with my After Dark clock. I would like to understand how good this cable is. Comparing it with the factory supplied bnc, is much better obviously, but how it compare with a little better cable. I will leave it connected for a while and then I will replace it with the Giesemann EVA BNC-BNC clock cable again. After doing that, I should be able to notice a change in presentation and understand what this cable is doing with the clock.

After that, the 1.5 m clock cables will replace the two stock clock cables between the dcs Rossini and Vivaldi master clock to see what happen after the breakin process. The idea is to understand what the Giesemann EVA BNC-BNC clock cable add and decide if expen more tha 1400usd on each cables for the dcs combo, make sense in term of sound quality.

I have used them side by side and for the last six months, staked, PS on top. I didn’t noticed any change in sound quality doing that. However, power and clock cable used on them impact the sound. PS is the one that generate a little heat so that way I am using on top avoiding interfering with the clock temperature. Maybe Adrian can give you additional advice.
