Mat55
I want to upgrade my routeur for something with a more recent protocol in order to maximize my internet speed. But I don’t want to loose to « easyness » of streaming music from my iPhone to my home speakers wirelessly and effortlessly. Setup is : Onkyo amplifier with 2 zones (kitchen + living room) and wired to speakers. AirPort Express is wired to the amplifier. It’s so simple and convenient to use I’d like to keep somewhat within that dumb-proof range. Is there anything I can do? Can I purchase a new routeur and have it run the internet and then have the APE connected to it simply to run AirPlay? Thanks Link to comment
R1200CL
The cheap option is used Asus routes that supports AIMesh. Load them with Merlin beta software. Edit: Are you using analog out on your Airport Express? Have you tried search this forum for Airport Express? Link to comment
Mat55
Yes, analog wire from APE to amplifier. Thanks for the recommandation, I’ll look into that. I’ve browse several topics on this forum but couldn’t come across someone with similar problem/setup. Maybe I haven’t look far enough... Link to comment
