Popular Post zoltan
Although I posted this in another threat but as this is the "clock" thread, I'll also post here. I just tested the Mutec Ref 10 clock outputs and they are galvanically isolated as also stated in the manual. So no problem using it simultaneously on otherwise also isolated devices. With a multimeter. The "continuity" setting gives no beep when touching the ground part of the output terminals. When measuring resistance, it stays OL, in other words, there is no circuit (well, that is clear from the first test, of course). kennyb123, dylanesque and Mihaylov 3 HQplayer - NAA - Devialet D-800 - YG Acoustics Carmel + dual ELAC sub-2090 Link to comment

Using Dueland 99.999 silver, insulated with teflon and an outer mesh. Very nice plugs (forgot the name), beautifully finished. Price 30 CM around Aus 130/-, 1M around 160/-, so very reasonable, great bang for the buck. I have never seen a true 75Ohm impedance cable that is not coaxial. It has to be very precisely engineered geometrically. My understanding from John Swensons explanation on this that impedance matching is one of the key factors when it comes to clock cables that transmit square waves, especially at such short distances because of reflections. I would like to know how such a "home brew" cable measures when it comes to impedance. richard_crl032, Mihaylov and R1200CL 3 HQplayer - NAA - Devialet D-800 - YG Acoustics Carmel + dual ELAC sub-2090 Link to comment

Will this increase the jitter of master clock signal? This is a quote from the Mutec Ref10's manual: "Usage of so-called BNC tee adapters are often used to daisy-chain clock signals between several devices. Usually, this is necessary if the clock master does not provide a sufficient number of clock outputs. ... Any additional elements in the signal path can have an attenuating effect that negatively affects the crucial slew rate of the signal.
