I’m using Daphile and the plugin configuration is the same ….

you need to select the binary, apply

then generate the Configuration file

set Streaming options/http mode to fixed, apply

restart the plugin

.

now HQPlayer should show up at the bottom of the plugin page

At a first sight I should say that nothing else is to be changed, maybe you can add some codecs in UPNP player audio capabilities 

These are the codecs I have defined

dsf,aac,ogg,ops,ogf,flc,alc,wav,aif,pcm,mp3

For Tidal you need to go to MySqueezebox.com, login, find in App Gallery Tidal and install it

then configure it

I cannot be more detailed as I don’t use Tidal, I just tried it some time ago

It works with HQPlayer Embedded only as it is a UPNP renderer.

You need to add/enable UPNP/DLNA bridge plugin in Daphile and configure it as shown in previous posts

LMS (upnp bridge) -> HQPlayer embedded -> HQPlayer NAA -> dac

HQPlayer cannot see any upnp device, it can’t as to communicate with NAA it use its own protocol, therefore it seems you’re looking for an impossible setup

LMS (upnp bridge) -> HQPlayer embedded -> dac

where the dac is connected to the HQP computer, the backend should not be Network Audio … in this case

@Riccardo r so if the “question” is about NAA (I see you’re using GentooPlayer) it should be better to post in GentooPlayer thread.…. your second screenshot is not so clear, the network backend field is missing …

@Riccardo r … anyway I don’t think the upnp bridge can be the root of the issue, you should be able the have HQPlayer and HQPlayer NAA working fine, then you can go further checking the integration of LMS in the chain

You should ask @Miska (Jussi) that is the “creator” of HQPlayer … there must be some issue with you NAA installation

@Riccardo r just playing using UPNP bridge version 3.0.3 (using Daphile) to HQPlayer embedded 4.35.2 and all is working fine …

I suggest to erase and generate again the bridge configuration file and set it as in this screenshot

@Riccardo r which kind of pc (cpu) are you running HQP on? You could try to use ASDM5 modulator that is less demanding than ECV2

I’m running LMS 8.3.1 and HQPe 5.5.0 and it works fine …
