So when there is a failure, it usually causes a cascade of multiple parts to be damaged--whether visible or not. Thus it is extremely rare for replacement of visibly damaged parts to result in a reliably working unit. In hindsight the whole design was too complex and ambitious. An 8~10% field failure rate is totally unacceptable. It has been a regrettable experience for many. I apologize to all. --Alex C. Thanks for candor and honesty Alex! It could be worse. Do you remember the debacle with a certain $25K ish CD player years back that used a very unreliable transport that the manufacturer discontinued. Seems that the company that used this transport for said CD player did not stock many units to be used in case of failures. So when they all started to fail they had no alternative and they just abandoned all those customers who were then left with expensive boat anchors. My first LPS-1 failed and you sent me a replacement. When that failed later I purchased a LPS-2 which is still working fine. I know you would give replacements to those whose units have failed if you could and I also know you will try to do right by them in the future. What we all need to realize is that when we push the envelope and try new ideas there will be problems like this. Don't let this get you down. Keep innovating and putting new ideas into production. The mainline companies rarely do anything innovative. Safe is always best. It takes companies like yours to get new thinking to the market. We are all taking risks when we purchase any piece of electronics. It is just part of the way the system works. ssh, Superdad, left channel and 5 others 7 1 Link to comment

I'll buy your new JS-4 ASAP when it is released. You've sold me already. Cheers! Joe My 1.2 is going strong but if it does go to PS heaven I’ll buy one of these. My 1.1 died (twice) but that didn’t stop me from buying a 1.2. No other company was trying anything like the 1.2 at the time. There are always risks at the cutting edge!
