Sublime Christmas Music

I actually usually don't listen to some particular 'Christmas mood' music during Christmas (I simply play the stuff I feel like hearing at the moment and BTW I hate most of Christmas pop music you can hear on almost every radio at the end of December and unfortunately for me even much, much earlier) so I can propose only some unorthodox 'Christmas' music..

How about :

This one is maybe even more interesting:

Although I like many and many avant-garde jazz recordings, these two from Charles Gayle are too noisy and annoying for my ears, Christmas time or non-Christmas, the same.

I guess you are in Holland, there are some awesome avant-garde musicians from this country, such as Han Bennink, or Micha Mengelberg, for example.

I have to admit that my Christmas music proposal was a slight provocation. I actually quite rarely listen to free jazz like this (but when the moment is right there's nothing like let's say Peter Brotzmann's 'Machine Gun'). As for this year's Christmas (my first ever in the Netherlands) music I will surely post the information about it on 'The Album of the Evening' thread.

It was clear about provocation...) But for me it was quite right, I never listen to any Christmas music, maybe because I was growing up in the USSR where Christmas or any other religious holidays were non-existent and Orthodox Christian music in general is too syrupy to my ears. I had a many years habit of listening Bach's Weihnachts Oratorium in the very last day of the year though. Not anymore, almost every end of the year I go to India for a winter stay, and Christmas music is merely a nonsense there.

For me the trick right now is just finding the one who speaks decent English.. My expectations about the cut can be expressed in two short sentences, they just have to be understood.. :)

Language skills are not the most important for the haircut unless you are coming for a news or opinions. Look for Turkish barber, they are great.Or Indian.
