Popular Post Musicophile Posted July 5, 2017 Popular Post Share Posted July 5, 2017 Good list already. +1 especially on Ray Brown's Live at the Loa, Jarrett at the Blue Note, and Bill Evans' several Village Vanguard recordings obviously, including my favorite of them: Below some others, focusing as requested mainly on smaller Jazz club type venues, ruling out larger places like Montreux for example. Here are some of my favorites, including (obviously, if you know me) a lot of piano trio, not only from the 1950s/60s (I wasn't born yet then, but doubt that Jazz clubs have changed all that much when you count out the smoking).
