pity the LPS-1 doesn't do 12v :'-(

I'm sure it would do wonders with this 2Qute, I got a couple of hours ago, which only needs 0.5A

Will the LPS-1 work with the NAD 1050?

by a quick look at its datasheet (link on that very webpage ) I see it takes 5v DC from an external PS so, so far... it might work

issue is I couldn't find a single word about its A(mperes) requirement (only mention is 0.5W *in standby*) so... it might not

Looked at the included adapter...it said output was 5v 4000ma 20w. I'm guessing the answer is no.

 

hard to tell as, often, PSs are rated for (much) higher power than what the device actually needs

not totally sure, though, "PowerPak Pro 2.1mm C+" jack only means "5.5x2.1 Center positive" or if it's a different kind of jack that will not work :-/

Last month I was looking at that cable too but... nowhere I could find how long it is

So I ordered two Oyaide plugs (got 'em last week from Japan) and was going to ask you an european source for that Furutech wire

So my chain is:

• FMC > Aries Mini
  

I want to power both with LPS-1's. Can I still achieve this with 2 x LPS-1's? Stated differently, can I use LPS-1-A to power the FMC, and then also participate with LPS-1-B in series to power the Mini?

Or would I need 3 LPS-1's to achieve all this?

 

I asked Auralic about minimum voltage requirement to power an Aries (femto) from a 1.0A ps and they told me it's 16v

(works fine, though, at 12v/1.5A)

 

Aries Mini minimum, as far as I remember, is instead 14v/1.5A

Yeah 2 LPS-1 set at 7v each make 14v.

I'm sure there's no risk at all for either the Aries (it just won't boot or it will shut down as soon as more power than available is required) or the LPS-1s (lights would just turn red, as you said)

I've been using another LPS, not the LPS-1, with an MC110CS and... yes: it takes a 2.1 barrel plug

sorry but... the LPS-1 only delivers 1A: you can't use it to power your router if, as you write, it needs a 3A PS
