Unfortunately, the attachements to your blog are no longer visible ; I remember 256 looking much better than 128, 512 not looking so much better than 256 while those who output at 512 claim it's so much better. I wonder : is there a crossing point where more is too much (because of thermal noise, cpu load what have you...) and yields a decrease in SQ ? If you were no give notes to 128, 256, 512 etc, what would they be ? The idea is to plan an informed purchase of non only a 256 or 512 or more DAC but of the capable computer as well Link to comment
