I periodically run the updater even when there is no indication that a new software version is available, because there sometimes are maintenance releases that don't rise to numbered version levels. I've never had an issue doing this, but I twice have gotten this error message from the current update:

 

Failed to synchronize cache for repo 'sonicorbiterrendu' from 'http://yum.sonicorbiter.com/releases/22/armhfp/rendu/RPMS/': Cannot download repomd.xml: Cannot download repodata/repomd.xml: All mirrors were tried, disabling.

 

Is this something about which I should be concerned?

Melvin, you probably know this, but the microrendu requires an ethernet connection to your network.  When you say it is "connected" to the wifi point, I assume you mean wired rather than wirelessly.

Just tested Hifi Cast on a Galaxy S9.  Linked with any of several DLNA servers (but not Twonky) that are connected to my Synology NAS, it works fine. (I don't have Twonky or I would have tested with it, too.)

FWIW, I also have used a microRendu and Signature Rendu SE with a Geek Pulse without incidents that were related to the Pulse itself. (It was one of three DACs equally affected, though, when the rendus themselves had issues.)  That suggests to me that the Pulse plays nicely with Linux.  However, the Pulses have been prone to hardware failures and I wonder if that's the case unless @bunno77's Pulse continues to work well in other settings.

 

 

@bunno77, if you need help from LH, I am sure you know that LH has shut down technical support and customer service.  Your best way of trying to obtain relief at this point is to pm @LHCommSquad and see if he can steer you to someone who can help a brother out.  It's a longshot but opening a ticket at LH's site is a complete waste of time at this point.
