Hello all-

Does anybody know where I can find Tingvall trio in hirez, or even redbook? Not necessarily a cd, but a download. I'm having to luck with my searches.

I have Vagan and Skagerrak. Both I listen to a lot and I want more!

[h=1][/h]Thanks

Amazon USA:

Amazon.com: tingvall trio: Music

Amazon UK:

Amazon.co.uk: tingvall trio: Music

I think there is no high res available for DL.

Some of the best are out of print.

I have studio version and music is fine, but compressed too much, however not so bad as some ACT records. Do you think that Live version is better?

I like very much ACT Music SQ , but more recorded music & musicians in their repertory, but honestly I never DR (just listen).

BTW, the Weltentraum's 24/48 (Musicophile recommendation) is wonderful. Thanks.

This might be also a gem of 2015 - upcoming Vijay Iyer Trio album:https://www.highresaudio.com/artist.php?abid=320840

I already got the 24/96 DL on January 16, but I perceive dryness in the recording, like some ECMs. The music is very nice and crazy as Vijay, but never dry...!

Did you liked it?

Thanks for all the contributions in this great thread. It has been costing me a lot of money but also bringing me a lot of musical enjoyment. My favourite jazz trio album in recent months is Christian McBride's live at the Village Vanguard, which I find really great. On the other hand, I was not convinced by his "Out Here" studio effort.

Hi Boris,

Just downloading (chez Qobuz) "Live at the Village Vanguard", I like very much "Out Here", but couldn't compare until listen to the new one.

What I feel is live recordings always have an special charm, because musicians expose his soul in a presence of an audience, no matter if there is some ambience noise (or other technical issues), the 'music transmission' is incredible live...!

Best,

Roch

New to this thread, I hope this hasn't been mentioned yet:

Tarek Yamani Trio - Ashur (Piano Trio with a tuba instead of a double base)

Anne Guus Teerhuis Trio - Tarhouse Tales.

Both bands feature the same drummer, btw.

This isn't available on HD Tracks or qobuz as of yet but you can stream it via tidal.

Or you can get in MP3 or FLAC at CD Baby as download.
